As Co-Founder of the Highline Chamber Ensemble, violinist Ross Tesoriero has always believed in the power of music to bring people together. Having met many of his closest friends through music and opportunities created from playing the violin, it was his desire to connect both the audience and musicians through concerts and events that inspired him to found Highline.
Ross began studying violin at the age of four following the Suzuki method; throughout his musical education he always found enjoyment in playing in orchestral settings, performing with the All State New York Symphony Orchestra and serving as concertmaster of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. His post-collegiate years continued in this vein, and he has since performed with several New York City ensembles including the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony and the Greenwich Village Orchestra, among others. As a founding member of the Salomé Chamber Ensemble, he played with the group from 2009-2011. During this time he was featured on TV as a violinist for the wedding of reality TV series Real Housewives of New York’s Bethanny Frankel. More recently, Ross went on an orchestral tour to China with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, where he held the position of principal second violinist.
A graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Computer Science, Ross currently works for Kenshoo, a digital marketing technology company. When not in rehearsal, Ross enjoys playing poker, baseball, and reading sci-fi.
